Swedish Open Båstad/tennis week
Which tennis week!
Two great weeks of tennis is over. Båstads tennis week was rounded off with a Swedish victory in both singles and doubles.
All-Swedish semifinal of the women's race and the finals of Johanna Larsson. A quarter-finals of the Davis Cup in Halmstad and victory in the men's race Båstads for Robin Soderling and Robert Lindstedt. Plus a whole lot more. There has been a great propaganda for the Swedish tennis on the West Coast for two wonderful weeks.
Robin Soderling brought an end to a dream week in which he ended by dismissing two top 10 players with clinical perfection.
- It's fantastic fun and I am very pleased with how I have kept up my level and my focus throughout the tournament, says Robin Soderling after having gone through the tournament almost flawlessly.
In doubles tournament was a repeat victory for Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau. The finals defeated a pair who played together for the first time, Simon Aspelin and Andreas Siljeström. Aspelin made his final tournament of his career and Siljeström played his first ATP final of his career.
- I hope to work with tennis in some form in the future. Perhaps it could benefit from my economics training or help Swedish Tennis Association with the best players to start, I have some time off, says Simon Aspelin.

When Aspelin now ending, there is a vacancy in the Swedish national team.
- First, let me just say it was an honor to play with Simon this week and it would be a great honor for me to represent Sweden in the Davis Cup but it's Thomas decision, says Andreas Siljeström just as Aspelin from College Education in the United States.
